Welcome to the website for the Laboratory of Medical Genetics at Harbin Medical University. Our lab was established by eminent Professor Li Pu in 1950. In the early years, we contributed greatly in the cytogenetic study of solid tumors. Until now, our lab has been a multidisciplinary research platform for professionals dedicated to developing molecular biological, biochemical, cytogenetic and human genetic strategies to dissect the molecular and genetic mechanisms of oncogenesis.  

We currently have a strong interest in double minute chromosomes (DMs), which is a special type of oncogenetic information carrier, working as an extrachromosomal gene amplification and usually carrying oncogenes and drug resistance genes.
