Education and Faculty Appointments
Received Bachelor Degree in Medicine from Henan Medical University in 1986, received Ph. Degree from Harbin Medical University in 1992, and received postdoctoral trainings at Karolinska Institute and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2001. Has been appointed as professor since 2006, and serves as director of the Department of Microbiology and the Infectious Disease Center of Peking University since 2011.
Academic activity: academic secretary of the National Science & Technology Key Projects “Treatment and Prevention of the Major Infectious Disease such as AIDS and Viral Hepatitis”, viral hepatitis section.
Award: Has been awarded the National Award for Science and Technology Progress (second level) twice for the achievements in viral hepatitis and liver disease related studies
Research Interesting: Laboratory diagnosis of viral hepatitis; Translational study of HBV infection-related HCC; Cancer Epigenetics.
Projects Founded by: National Science & Technology Key Projects on infectious Disease; National Science & Technology Key Projects on Basic Science (973); and The National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Publication: research works have been published in peer-view journals like New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Human Genetics, Cancer Research and Journal of Hepatology.
