Dr. Yong Wan, who is a professor of Dept. of Cell Biology, University of Pittsburgh, USA, came to visit HMU on 07/17/2014. Dr. Wan has been working in the area of Ubiquitination and cell cycle of tumor cells, cellular and molecular signal regulation as well as targeted cancer therapy for many years. He has published many papers in high-rank scientific journals, such as J Biol Chem，Oncogene，Mol Cell and EMBO. Dr. Wan has given a presentation titled “The impact of UPS in cell cycle, genome stability and tumorigenesis-the implication for cancer therapy” in Conference Room of Basic Medical College at 9am on the same day. His talk was a big success. Following the talk, all questions raised by faculties and students were answered by Dr. Wan. Dr. Wan also highly praised the knowledge of our students. After the presentation, Dr. Wan visited our research laboratory and transformer center. He showed great interest in our research of Double Minute. Dr. Songbin Fu and Dr. Wan also discussed the potential collaborations between two research labs.
